The Peace of Mind Project
Because your focus belongs where it matters most.
Purpose of This Project
We created The Peace of Mind Project to ensure that local families with a child facing a medical crisis never have to worry about the state of their lawn. We maintain the home front so you can stay focused on your family’s recovery.
Our Mission
At Hidden Talents Lawn and Landscape, we believe that a strong community is built on neighbors looking out for one another. When a family is spending their days and nights at a child's bedside, the "hidden" chores at home are often the first to fall behind.
How It Works: Nominated by Neighbors
We believe the best gifts come from the people who live right next door. The Peace of Mind Project is a neighbor-led initiative. We don't ask families in crisis to fill out applications; instead, we rely on the community to tell us who needs a helping hand.
-
Step 1: Nomination – A neighbor submits a request through our secure form.
-
Step 2: Consultation – Hidden Talents Lawn and Landscape will contact the nominator first to confirm details and discuss the best approach.
-
Step 3: The Gift – We reach out to the family to offer our weekly services as a complimentary gift from their community.
What We Provide
For families accepted into the program, Hidden Talents Lawn and Landscape provides a weekly maintenance package at no cost, including:
-
Professional Mowing – Includes string trimming and crisp edging.
-
Property Cleanup – Clearing of all driveways, walkways, and porches.
-
Constant Communication – Weekly "Service Completed" notifications for the family’s peace of mind.
Program Stipulations & Eligibility
To help us serve as many families as possible, we ask nominators to keep the following guidelines in mind:
-
Neighbor-Led: Nominations must come from a neighbor, friend, or family member.
-
Eligibility: Open to local families with a child currently in inpatient or intensive long-term outpatient care.
-
Service Area: Property must be located within our standard service radius.
-
Duration: Weekly service continues for the duration of the hospital stay (up to 28 weeks).
-
Access & Safety: We ask that nominators help coordinate to ensure gates are unlocked and pets are secured on our scheduled service day.
A Message to the Families
If you are receiving this service, please know there are no strings attached. You do not owe us a testimonial, a review, or future business. This is our gift to you during a difficult season. Hidden Talents Lawn and Landscape is honored to keep your home a peaceful place to return to.
The Fine Print: By submitting a nomination to Hidden Talents Lawn and Landscape, you authorize our team to enter the property for scheduled maintenance. For safety, all gates must be unlocked and pets secured. Hidden Talents Lawn and Landscape is not liable for items left in the lawn or unmarked underground assets. Service is voluntary and provided based on current capacity.
